Durex exists to unleash the freedom to be your true sexual self, and fight against shame and stigma. For many years Durex has partnered with Mardi Gras and other Pride festivals around the world, promoting and providing products which raise awareness of sexual health and protect against STIs.
Durex is proud to announce its exclusive partnership as the Intimate Wellness Partner for Sydney’s first WorldPride event in 2023, and two-year partnership with Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras 2023 and 2024.
PARTNERSHIPS
WorldPride is a global LGBTQIA+ festival that has been staged since 2000, with cities competing to host the event.
Sydney was chosen by InterPride members to be the host of WorldPride in 2023, marking the first time a city in the Southern Hemisphere had been chosen. Sydney WorldPride will incorporate all the beloved Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras events, plus a broad festival offering across arts, sport, theatre, concerts, parties, First Nations programming and a Human Rights conference.

Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras (SGLMG) is an LGBTQIA+ not-for-profit member-based organisation that produces the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade and Festival and several other events and supportive initiatives throughout the year.
SGLMG was built on the foundations laid by early community activists who fought for LGBTQIA+ rights in a time of wide-spread, institutionalised oppression and discrimination.
